Custom SaaS development.
Krafter designs, builds and runs custom SaaS applications, web and mobile, for founders and SMBs who want to sell their software by subscription. From MVP to full platform, with two senior partners who write the code themselves and run their own products.
One idea. One SaaS that runs.
The reality
90% of SaaS products fail. Most should never have been built the way they were.
The number is not ours: Startup Genome and CB Insights have documented this failure rate for years. The classic scenario: you validated a market need. You found a contractor. They build your V1 in six months for €80,000. On launch day, you discover the architecture can’t take the load, the onboarding makes no sense, the subscription billing was hacked together at the last minute, and the contractor has already moved on to the next project.
The result: a half-finished product, massive technical debt from day one, a budget burned before the first paying user. The problem isn’t the idea. The problem is trusting a SaaS build to a contractor who has never launched a SaaS of their own.
Why Krafter
The difference between a contractor that builds SaaS and a studio that runs them.
Krafter isn’t an agency like the others: it’s a software studio that designs, builds and operates its own products. Trottr, our field service management SaaS, is sold by subscription with per-user licences and used by Engie, among others. Melimelo, our household organisation app, accounts for most of the 25,000 people who use our products every day. Kascade, Smashr and Remastr are launching.
What does that mean for your project? We know the real problems of a SaaS in production, not the ones you read about in blog posts. Subscription management and churn. Unplanned load spikes. Trade-offs between new features and stabilization. The real cost of poorly designed onboarding. How hard it is to get real users to adopt a product.
That field experience goes into every client project. We don’t build SaaS products to deliver them. We build them to hold up in production.
What we build
From MVP to full SaaS.

SaaS MVP
#1A tight, deployable V1, testable by real users. Built to learn, then decide what comes next.
Let’s talk
Full platform
#2Subscriptions, recurring billing, roles, API, multi-tenancy, monitoring. Brick by brick, in short cycles.
Let’s talk
Companion mobile app
#3Flutter, iOS and Android, natively connected to your platform. Real-time sync, offline mode.
Let’s talk
Taking over an existing SaaS
#4A SaaS built elsewhere that needs stabilizing, rebuilding or accelerating. Technical audit first, realistic action plan next.
Let’s talkMethod
No 60-page spec document.
Clear scoping, short cycles, a product that moves. The same method that keeps our own products running.
01 / 04
Product discovery
1 to 2 weeksThe scope of the MVP or V1, in black and white. No code until it’s crystal clear.
Priority use cases, user profiles, business model (freemium, subscription, free trial) and technical constraints: hosting, security, integrations.
Architecture and prototyping
Stack, data architecture, functional mockups screen by screen.
What gets built is validated together, before the first line of code is written.
Iterative development
releases every 1 to 2 weeksEvery iteration ships a testable version. Feedback feeds the next cycle.
No tunnel effect, no monolithic delivery after four months of silence.
Going live and launch
Your SaaS is online, ready to welcome its first users.
Deployment on the target infrastructure, monitoring, backups, payment system integration.
Budget
How much does SaaS development cost?
A functional SaaS MVP runs from €6,000 to €30,000 excl. VAT. It starts at €6,000 when you know exactly what you want: processes, business rules and screens already defined. The price goes up if we need to shape the thinking with you, integrate payments or go up to 5 to 10 screens with role management. A complete SaaS platform with subscriptions, dashboard, API, multi-tenancy and a mobile app runs from €40,000 to €80,000 excl. VAT depending on complexity, and can go beyond. Maintenance is budgeted separately. Precise pricing starts from the scope, set by you or with us during scoping: the scope sets the budget.

Conviction
“When we build a SaaS for a client, we know exactly what’s waiting after launch. The first bugs in production, the first load spike, the first churn. We know because we live it on our own products every week. That’s why we never ship a half-thought-out SaaS.”

4 to 8 weeks depending on scope, with testable versions from the very first weeks. The goal of an MVP is not to be perfect: it has to be solid enough to collect real user feedback and decide what comes next.
The business layer built for your project is fully yours. It sits on FastEdgy, our open source foundation, shared across our projects. You can take your code back, hand it to another provider, or build an internal team to grow it.
Yes. We integrate payment gateways (Stripe, Mollie, PayPal) and build the subscription logic: pricing plans, free trial, upgrades and downgrades, recurring billing, dunning on failed payments. Something we run every day on our own products.
Yes. Product discovery, UX, architecture, development, deployment, going live: we cover the whole chain. You don’t need to be technical to work with us. You do need to be available for product decisions: you are the one who knows your market and your users.
We stay involved after going live. Fixes, new features, scaling, new integrations: we keep your SaaS technically on track for the long run. Your product should live and evolve, not be delivered and forgotten.
