iOS and Android, one codebase
Mobile app cost calculator
Six questions, the real price grid of a studio that ships its own apps, and a range that tightens with every answer. The result fits in a link, ready to share.
The full grid is published further down this page. A SaaS or an internal tool instead? The software budget simulator covers every project.

Your pre-brief
Every answer writes a line, live.
- A mobile app (iOS and Android, one codebase).
The grid, in the open
What drives the cost of a mobile app.
The cost of a mobile app depends first on its scope: €6,000 to €25,000 excl. VAT for an MVP, €25,000 to €60,000 for a full app, €30,000 to €70,000 for an offline or location-based app. Scoping, payments and integrations do the rest. Here is the grid the calculator applies, excluding VAT.
Offline is flagged separately
The calculator adds up items from your answers. One thing escapes it: working without a network and tracking location. If your app needs either, use the dedicated grid and mention it in your pre-brief. Local storage and deferred sync are designed during scoping, never after.
A grid tested on our own apps
Melimelo, our Flutter household organisation app, is rated 4.7/5 on the App Store (421 ratings) and 4.6/5 on Google Play (306 reviews) as of October 2026. Shipping, maintaining and evolving an app is something the studio does for itself too.
The levers
What each answer does to the price.
Five of the calculator’s six questions weigh on the budget. Understanding them helps you cut in the right place: the cheapest first version is the one that keeps only what matters.
Starting point
A need already laid out goes straight to development. An idea still to be formalised adds €3,000 to €6,000 of scoping. A spreadsheet to replace or an app to take over needs €1,500 to €5,000 of scoping.
Users
An app for your teams moves faster than an app for your customers. External users add 10 to 15%: onboarding, flows and edge cases need more care.
V1 scope
One core function and a few screens, several modules with roles, or advanced workflows for several profiles. It is the heaviest lever, and the one good scoping reduces best.
Connections
Each existing tool to connect counts as an integration, from €2,000 to €15,000. Beyond two connections, flows are phased: V1 ships the critical ones, the rest is planned.
Payments
Charging for an order adds €2,000 to €5,000. A subscription adds €4,000 to €10,000: plans, invoices, retries and plan changes take more work.
Timeline
It does not change the price. It helps plan the start and tells you, from the first conversation, what fits your calendar.
One development covers iOS and Android: we work in Flutter, in production at Krafter since 2024. Our Flutter practice explains that choice, and mobile app development covers the use cases, from field teams to consumer apps.
Entry price
Why the price starts at €6,000.
€6,000 excl. VAT is the price of a mobile MVP when you know exactly what you want: processes, business rules and screens already defined. The price goes up if that thinking has to be done with you, or if payments are involved. The floor rests on three choices.
A base already written
An app never starts from scratch at Krafter. FastEdgy, our open source base, avoids rewriting what already exists.
Two seniors and AI
Fabien Maquin and François Pluchino rely on AI to write a large part of the code. Every line is reviewed and tested by one of them.
No sales layer
The two partners scope, design and code themselves. No middle layer paid out of your budget.
The floor is not a teaser price. A project that is still fuzzy starts with scoping, €3,000 to €6,000 excl. VAT. To get closer to the floor, lay out your screens and rules with our spec template: a written need is priced more accurately, and for less.
After the calculator
Your range travels as a link.
After the last answer, your choices are written into the page address. Copy the result link: a partner or your finance team sees the same range, without going through the questions again.
The pre-brief lists your answers line by line, with that link. Sent as is, it reaches a founder, who replies within 24/48h with an honest take: range confirmed, adjusted, or the questions to settle before quoting. No automated email sequence behind it.
FAQ
30 minutes on a call with a founder turn the range into a priced, dated scope.
Talk about my mobile projectMobile app pricing, question by question.
At Krafter, a mobile MVP published on iOS and Android costs €6,000 to €25,000 excl. VAT. A full app, with back office, notifications and built-in payments, sits between €25,000 and €60,000. Offline mode or location tracking take it to €30,000 to €70,000. The calculator places your project in that grid in six questions.
Describe five things: your starting point, your users, the scope of the first version, the software to connect and payments. Those are the levers that move the price. The calculator prices them with our public grid, then a 30-minute scoping call with a founder turns the range into a firm scope.
No. Krafter builds in Flutter, in production with us since 2024: one codebase produces both the iOS app and the Android app. You pay for one development, one round of testing and one maintenance. Two separate native apps cost roughly twice as much, and every change is paid for twice.
Apple’s developer account costs $99 a year, Google Play’s $25 once. These fees are paid directly to the platforms, on accounts in your name. Store listings, screenshots, submission and follow-up of Apple’s review are all included in the project price, at no extra fee.
Plan 8 to 12% of the development cost per year for upkeep: updates for each iOS and Android release, security, fixes. For a €20,000 app, that means €1,600 to €2,400 a year. Evolutions are billed separately, time and materials (€700 to €1,100 excl. VAT per day) or as prepaid time credit.
An MVP takes 4 to 8 weeks of development and 8 to 12 weeks to store release. A full app takes 3 to 5 months, an offline or location-based app 4 to 6 months. On Apple’s side, the review of Melimelo, our Flutter app, usually takes 1 to 2 days.
Yes, when you know exactly what you want: processes, business rules and screens already defined. The price goes up if that thinking has to be done with you or if payments are involved. The floor comes from FastEdgy, our open source base, two senior partners who rely on AI and review every line, and no sales layer.
No. It is an honest range, computed with the grid we quote in meetings. A firm quote needs scoping, which settles the exact V1 scope. Send your pre-brief: a founder replies within 24/48h. The result link also lets you show the same range to a partner, without going through the questions again.
